Crystal Palace target Lee Angol is set to leave Luton Town after he rejected a new contract at Kenilworth Road, reports the Luton News

The Eagles were linked with a move to Angol by HITC Sport, among several other clubs, and with the 20-year-old now out of contract, he will be available for a minimal compensation fee.

Angol would be returning to south London if he were to join Palace, having been born in Sutton.

He would provide competition in the Under 21 side for Keshi Anderson, who enjoyed a fine start to life at the club after joining from Brentford in January, propelling the U21s to the Professional Development League Two South title.

The 6ft 2in striker began his career at Tottenham's academy, before signing for Wycombe Wanderers upon his release in 2012, but he only played three times for the Chairboys and was released by the club last summer.

Luton snapped up Angol on a one-year deal, immediately sending him on loan to Boreham Wood in the Conference South , for the season, but he has now turned down a contract with the Hatters and will leave without playing a single game.
